My heart goes out to you, because I have had a lifelong battle with excema, and have 3 of 7 who also have suffered with it.

I can tell you that diet has made an enormous impact in my excema, as well as essential oils. I want to really encourage you to get off the steroids, as that will make him worse in the long run.
I spent about 22 years on and off steroids and then used steroid creams only during my years of pregnancy and nursing as I didn't want to harm my babies. I have been off steroids completely for over a year and am doing much better. I would have a yo-yo effect of feeling better after using the creams (even though they did burn or make me itch initially) but then I would have this terrible rebound of symptoms later.

We used YL Melrose blend on one of our children and it totally cleared up his rash. My daughter and youngest son got relief from the itching (I also used a non-petroleum based lotion for moisturizing) Getting off gluten definitely made a huge difference for them, and me. I have not done the GAPS diet completely, but we do very little grain, lots of bone broths and fermented foods daily.

I just also remembered that my oldest son had some rashes when he was a toddler, and getting off pasteurized milk and on raw milk cleared his skin up and he's never had another issue with skin rashes.

As I said, "My heart goes out to the little guy as I have spent COUNTLESS hours of my life itching or being wakened by children who are! We are definitely on a journey to healing and I want to encourage you in yours. I think doing GAPS 100% is a great thing and I would love to hear how you all are doing on it. I have just found it extremely difficult with so many, but can't say I won't go GAPS totally soon.Russellbunchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09358509088090674504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7556975197901836881.post-71090432856431437872012-02-24T15:48:45.951-08:002012-02-24T15:48:45.951-08:00Dad even the steroid cream is burning his so bad a...Dad even the steroid cream is burning his so bad and when we put it on he gets all red all over....I think I may stop it.
