Happy 4 and 1/2 year birthday KLINE!!!

My silly goose turned 4 and a 1/2 tomorrow~  wow...such a big boy.  I can not believe that he has now been suffering for 2 years from topical steroid addiction.....those things sure did do a doozie on his little body!  20 months off topical steroids and staring to get more breaks during the day!  Still very itchy at night and sleeps from 3am till 2pm most days, vampire people!!! xooxo Loren

  5. Hi Lauren, I just came across your blog by doing a google search. My nine month old baby is suffering from eczema terribly! He has been for about 4 months now...literally from head to toe. I think I may be seeing a break, but don't really know yet. Anywho, I read some of your postings and you made me laugh...thank you. Of course the situation is not funny at all, but I KNOW exactly how you feel and it's nice to be able to relate. Now, I haven't used steroids. I'm came very close to starting last week, but something (I believe it to be God) always stops me. Nonetheless, the healing process seems to be the same...red, inflamed, oozing, super thick cracked skin, crazy itchiness, you name it! He hasn't even attempted to crawl yet!!! My husband and I are determined to fight the fight though. I have a question for you. How do your pediatricians react to you not using steroids? I get the feeling that they want to report me for child abuse whenever he goes in. As a result, I don't even feel comfortable taking him to any doctor, but I would really like to get some insights on his development outside of his eczema.

    1. Oh man, I am so sorry your baby is suffering so and you too! Have you looked into real soaps, check out solveeczema.com also, have you food allergy tested the baby? It is so hard to figure out the cause sometimes. So sorry, our peds have been good about not pushing us to use steroids since we stopped 20 months ago, thank god..but some people definitely get a hard time from the dr.'s ...stinks!! If you friend me on. Facebook I can add you to my eczema group! Maybe get some ideas there? Loren Beth Mccormac xoxoxo best of luck!
